  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into smaller cubes.
  2. Melt the butter in a pot, add the prepared vegetables, and sauté briefly.
  3. Add water according to how much soup you want to make.
  4. Add the chopped potatoes and bring the soup to a boil.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and cook for about 20 minutes until the potatoes soften.
  6. In a little water, mix a tablespoon of semolina for children to create a smooth paste.
  7. Add this to the soup and mix well.
  8. Cook for another five minutes and season with marjoram and crushed garlic.

Note

If you prefer a stronger soup, you can add broth, for example, chicken, instead of water. The soup can be flavored with herbs and served with bread or toasted croutons.
